Veega Studio

A dynamic brand for a still life studio

Our friends and frequent collaborators over at Veega Studio came to us wanting a refresh of their brand, website and the spacial design of their photography studio in Brighton. Like a lot of branding projects for small-medium creative businesses, the brand needed to reflect the boldness of their amazing creative work whilst not overshadowing it in the process.

A 360 service

We used colours and shapes often found in Veega’s work to inform the choice of brand typefaces and colour palette, as well as the custom VS icon and playful brand animations. Veega Studio’s new identity not only reflects their high quality photography services but also highlights their expertise in crafting dynamic still-life compositions and playful set pieces.

After a series of user-journey workshops, their website has been fine-tuned to showcase the brand personality whilst succinctly communicating their services and getting their clients from A-B as efficiently as possible.

Making a mural work

Murals are nearly always striking and visually engaging, but in enclosed rooms there is the risk of them dominating the space. They can consume a single area or wall, without much consideration for the room’s functions and the objects within it. We have a slightly different approach to murals – taking into account the furniture, existing artwork and uses of each room. We use illustration and graphic forms to respond to them, creating a sense of harmony and engagement in the space.

Founder Jadviga Tankun wanted graphic treatments around her studio that considered the different functions of the space whilst not impacting her ability to concentrate in it. Using Veega Studio’s brand colours to influence the palette, we created simple graphic shapes that linked the 3 walls together. These shapes guide your eye across the room, settling on a cobalt blue gallery wall. Gradients have been used on some of these shapes to create a sense of depth and tactility.

With the amazing products provided by Yes.Colours, we really had a lot of fun watching paint dry! The cobalt blue gallery wall is also used as a backdrop in some shoots, as well as a perfect photo opp for user-generated content.

A creative brand for creative people

A strong brand is essential for any creative business—it signals to clients that every detail has been carefully considered, setting the standard for how their own brand will be perceived. By giving the same time and care to their own branding and space, Veega Studio demonstrates the impact their work can have on their client’s products, reinforcing the power of a well-executed, intentional and consistent brand identity.

“We’re so happy with the results and have already received lots of positive feedback from clients, friends and our wider community.”
